As Campbell Brown might say…free Sarah.
According to Wolf Blitzer, CNN contacted both vice presidential candidates for a post-presidential debate interview. Joe Biden complied. Sarah Palin, well, let’s just say she was unavailable for comment.
Instead, the McCain campaign offered up spokeswoman Nicolle Wallace, a former White House communications director, who it apparently thinks is more qualified to speak for the campaign than its own vice presidential nominee.
Wallace did her best, emphasizing that Obama was out of the mainstream and in favor of “tax increases for a vast majority of the American people.” Not exactly true. According to independent analyses, under Obama’s plan, about 80 percent of Americans would actually get a tax cut. Still, give Wallace props for staying on message and speaking in complete sentences.
Is it too late to start a draft Wallace movement?
