On Wednesday’s NewsHour McCain advisor Lindsay Graham (R-S.C) offered this choice assessment:
From an operational point of view, we’d created an infrastructure we couldn’t — that wasn’t sustainable, and it all came crashing down.
Was he talking about the current credit meltdown? Not exactly. The answer came in response to a question regarding last year’s near death of the then-ailing McCain campaign.
Arizona Republic reporter Dan Nowicki added:
I think he probably delegated too much authority to the campaign manager at the time. And, well, I think he was shocked when he realized he was almost out of money.
Hmm…now who else does that sound like these days?
